NEW YORK, NY – The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) is heading to the birthplace of luxurious air travel in order to give members a first-hand look at the future of the passenger experience. The APEX Middle East Conference will be 24-25 March in Abu Dhabi and will feature world-class speakers from leading Gulf region airlines.
Additionally, APEX will treat attendees to an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the world-famous Etihad Innovation Centre, where participants will explore reconstructions of the new Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 aircraft cabins, including realistic mock-ups of Residence by Etihad™, the new First Apartments and First Suites, new Business Studios and Economy Smart Seats.
The event is free to airline representatives. APEX members may register to attend by clicking here, and members of the press may register at no cost by clicking here.
“In addition to the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the future of the passenger experience-in-the-making during the exclusive tour of Etihad Airways’ Innovation Centre, attendees will have access to some of the most impressive presentations and speakers in this industry,” said Lauren Beneri, APEX director of programs and services. “From luxurious air travel to inflight audio rights, this is one of our most comprehensive programs yet. Speakers will focus on the unique characteristics of the region and the growing passenger demand of the Middle East, making this a can’t-miss conference for those represented in the region, as well as those looking to do business in this market.”
The Middle East is a crucial region for the passenger experience. In the last decade alone, the region has had the strongest growth in traffic in the world and benefits from the financial support of “airport cities” willing to invest in ground infrastructure.
Some educational highlights of the APEX Middle East Conference include the following:
– How the passenger experience is localized in the Middle East: The Middle Eastern airline industry, with an increased demand from passengers for new products and technology, underscores the growing impact that the aviation industry has on local markets.
– How the audio performance rights landscape is changing: This is potentially one of the most important developments in this industry. Both the music industry and onboard entertainment systems are evolving at a rapid pace, forcing airlines to re-evaluate business relationships with the music industry.
– How to lead in the Middle East: Renowned speaker and author of “10 Tips for Leading in the Middle East,” Dr. Tommy Weir will guide attendees on leadership skills and business practices in the region.
– How improved airport infrastructures can boost local economies: Cities around the world are taking advantage of the economic windfalls of more and more passengers by upgrading facilities on the ground.
APEX is a nonprofit association devoted to furthering the global passenger experience and is pleased to offer this conference – by the members, for the members. APEX Regional Conferences have become increasingly popular with members around the globe, as local airlines and vendors value the opportunity to share regional information with the larger association. Recent conferences have taken place in Hong Kong; Sydney, Australia; Shanghai, China; London, England; and Santiago, Chile – all receiving wide praise from attendees.
